Kawal Rock is proudly women-owned and operated. Thanks to their vineyard, Maria and Louise have been affectionately titled “The Girls On The Hill” by locals, and this has inspired the name on of our delicious Gin range, which is lovingly hand-crafted, distilled, bottled and labelled by the owners themselves.
Our Cellar Door is a culmination of locally made, sourced and recycled materials. The walls of the cellar door have been lined with recycled wine barrel timber, our rustic bar and entry door made by talented local artisans, and sitting proudly in the centre is our handmade Tasmanian copper still. We are passionate about showcasing and celebrating all things Australian. Our uniquely charming Cellar Door also doubles as an events and performance space.
Kawal Rock is fast becoming a must-see for visitors to the Hunter to enjoy. We can’t wait to host you soon.
Tasting Suites
Pop into our Cellar Door and try our ever-growing range of gins and wine. Our tastings are $25 per person and include our Signature, Itchy Wombat & Pink Diamond gins, a glass of our Twin Eagles Moscato and your choice of tonic or soda to top. Chat to us below to check availability and book.
Tastings are available Thursday to Monday: 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm & 4 pm.
